Joining a server
Your link
Section titled “Your link”Your host sends you one of two things:
- An invite link. Open it and sign in: it lets you in to the server it’s for.
- A join page (
.../join/<server>). It shows the server, its address, and how to join.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”- With Steam: one click, if your host has turned it on. Steam tells the panel who you are; nothing else is shared.
- With an account your host made for you.
Once you’re signed in, you appear in the Hearth’s People, and the panel knows you when you play.
Valheim
Section titled “Valheim”The easy way is Play with Stoke on the join page: it gets the Stoke launcher, which installs exactly the server’s mods and starts Valheim ready to join.
To join by hand instead, use the address and password the join page shows, from Valheim’s Join game → Add server. If the server runs mods, you need the same ones.
Minecraft
Section titled “Minecraft”On the join page, copy the server’s address, then in Minecraft: Multiplayer → Add Server, and paste it. Your game’s version must match the server’s, which the page shows. A Fabric server with mods needs the same mods in your game.
Linking your Minecraft player to your panel account lets the panel know you in the game: in the Hearth, in People, and on the map. On your account page, under Minecraft, press Get a link code, join any of the panel’s Minecraft servers, and say the code in chat. The server answers you in the game.
Turned away by a server’s whitelist? Its disconnect screen shows a code: enter it on your account page under Minecraft instead.
- The Stoke launcher: the server’s mods set up for you, and the game started ready to join.
- The Stoke tunnel: how the launcher reaches your group’s servers with nothing to set up.
- The Hearth: voice and chat with your group, from the browser.
- Voice chat: talking in the game, nearby and in rooms.
- The map: the world, with everyone on it as they play.
